I have been gone again this weekend. I went to a tournament in Richmond, Indiana. My ride arrived at quater after 6 and we rushed our way directly to the fields.
It was said to be google map's fault b/c we lost our way there and had to ask direction from other players who left on Friday and were already on the fields.
The weather was a little chilly in the morning, though by the time we arrived it was almost 11. (Indiana is an hour ahead of Champaign.)

We did a bit warm up and started playing but it did not turn out well. I was told to be one of the temporary captain; maybe it was just a joke b/c tho we have only 9 players there are still some veterants.
I now did not care so much on whether we beat our opponent or not. Of course I still want to win, but I figured care less will make the whole things a bit more fun.
Plus I haven't been to practices for two weeks straight so I really don't have any position to blame on anything but me.
The weather was really really nice. I can feel the heat after a few points and it wasn't too windy at all either. The ground is really soft and muddy.
Some area of the fields has no grass at all. It was totally destroyed by players' cleats.
I am one of the handler today; I like it! We were down by a few points then started gaining points back; but by the half, we were still down by a lot.

Every following games are played in the same pattern. We mentioned that but it still continued to happen.
Out of frustration, We got a bit upset on people's poor decisions and dropping the disc.
I knew the line is not the full strength of the B team, but still...we did really bad.
The fact that there were only 9 players really lower the intensity when the games continue one after one. We strained our energy more quickly.
Although there is plenty of playing time for certain, but the downside is that we played lousy and not even playing hard anymore at the end.

When there're no subs, no food, no water on the sideline, I just want the game to be over...
It was pretty bad.
Fun day tho...I got a lot of mud on me, pretty proud of myself.
Karl, Winston and I went to a chinese cafe; I was totally exhasuted, hungry to death, and was so happy when I saw there was a chinese restaurant.
After that we went to watch a movie called "300."
It's a story about 300 spartans fought against Persian's invasion, which arouse the patriotism of the Greece brought in thousand hundreds more soilders to the battle.
The movies totally rocks. One of the best I've seen so far. A little bit violent and sanguinary.
I was inspired to study the history of the battle after I watched the movie.

The second day was not so exciting at all. We played the team at our last game on Saturday. Then we got ass kicked again even with a stronger line this time.
Their handler's throw is a blade with great accurate, but I gave him a foot block today. he
We played against Michigan B team after waiting for a long time figuring who we were gonna play next.
It was completely muddy and someone's cleate was stuck and came off during the game. We lost them by one and only won one game out of 6 the whole weekend.
The good thing is we got back by 4:30 which is so much early than we used to.

I should go to practice more so that I will get better condioning and knowledge wise. Also there hopefully would be some more team chemistry in the future.
